Changi Singapore airport
First Changi is one of the most impressive airports where I have ever been, long stop overs are usually a pain but not here. Now maybe I left you thinking:
What makes Changi Singapore airport so interesting?
Apart from any kind of services and facilities, if your stopover in Singapore is longer than 5 hours you have the opportunity to take a free two hours tour to the beautiful city
of Singapore. There is one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening.
Unluckily I couldn’t join the tour, as when I got there the night tour was already sold out, but even thought I think is a great service for the passengers.
Entertainment at Changi Singapore airport
The airport also has a wide number of shops, restaurants and activities to make your stay a pleasant experience. And that’s not all, as well it has several theme gardens, a cinema, playground for children and Spa.
Of course, I will not forget about the pool with a cocktail bar where you can see planes taking off and landing.
All of it while resting in a sunbed or having a swim, sounds good, right?
Transfer times between its three terminals is really fast as the sky trains go every five minutes. Besides if you are traveling with Singapore Airlines, Silk Air or Air New Zealand the airport gives you a 40$ voucher that you can use in any of its business or shops.
You can share and store your photo and video memories and be part of Changi’s history. Surrounding the Tree are eight touch-screen photo booths that allow you to ‘attach’ your photos and videos onto its colorful and animated crown. The crown display various animated backgrounds including a mystical forest and the Singapore skyline.
If you are a social media fan, the Social tree gives you the possibilities to share your photos and videos on your profiles. You can retrieve and re-live your digital memories during your next visit.
The Social Tree is shut down for its daily maintenance routine from 1.00am – 5.00am.
Summarizing my lay over at Singapore, literally flew, even if it was a 9 hour stop.
Any other airport recommended for a long stop over?
